I was born and raised in Athens, Ga. I graduated from Prince Avenue Christian School and attended UGA for two years. I then transferred to Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, Ga. from which I graduated with a Bachelor's of Religion degree. I am currently at Luther Rice working toward a Master's in Divinity.

In 2008 the Lord blessed me with a beautiful and wonderful wife, Mary. In June of that year we began our service at Pleasant Hill as Associate Pastor. It is the passion of my life to see God glorified through the preaching of the Word of God, seeing lives come to trust and growth in the Lord, and working with students.

I enjoy Georgia Bulldog sports, computers, and selling/buying things on eBay.

Karem Marin, Ministry Assistant

Karem has been Ministry Assistant of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church since May 20, 2008. She has been married to Wilmer Marin since December of 2004. They have one child: Wilmer Josue. She is a graduate of North Georgia Technical School and is working on her Bachelors Degree in Teaching from Piedmont College in Athens.

Karem and her husband work together with the Hispanic Community reaching the Hispanics for Christ, the Tugalo Association's Hispanic Mission. This ministry includes events for the children, WMU activities, leading Worship on Sundays and ministry assistant's duties for the Hispanic Church.

Her hobbies are to enjoy an afternoon with her family, shopping, going to see a good family movie, baking, and recently being a mom.
